Art from the Tool Shed
Colour, Shimmer & Texture Studies
These paintings were produced as a journey of discovery from Urbanism, a humanitarian issue, for the presevation of the earth, with issues around waste and recycling
A form of recycling, upcycling surplus materials and an experiment with household paints, texturing and reflective shimming light to discover how different paints and materials relate to one another.
They are spontaneous free flowing and loose sculptural ways of creating art, with few rules or hard lines, the only requirement being is that they contain some form of rubbish. They are an excuss to get mucky, abanden fine brush strokes, experiment with surfaces, light reflections and the resonance of materials in a discovery of discarded materials .
In producing these I used many varities of building materials, the commercial paint range and the artist paint range or anything else I could find to create marks.
For other recycled projects I do in crafts see
These paintings are an experience to view, due to the mixed, raised textured surfaces.
